Financial Operations & Automation Specialist (Accountant)

About the Role: We are looking for a proactive and tech-savvy specialist to join our team. In this hybrid role, you will manage core accounting functions (AP/AR, Tax) and play a key part in optimizing and automating our financial processes. Key Responsibilities: 🔹 Process Automation & Development — Participate in projects to optimize and automate accounting and finance workflows — Analyze workloads, prepare data for automation, test and implement new solutions — Assist in configuration and development of financial systems and integrations (specifically Xero) — Document processes, prepare technical instructions, maintain internal knowledge base — Identify bottlenecks and proactively suggest points for optimization 🔹 Accounting & Compliance: — Manage primary documentation in Xero — Record income, expense, and AR/AP transactions accurately — Conduct contractor due diligence (KYC checks) before onboarding new partners — Support payment processing for services (mainly Marketing) — Execute month-end closing control procedures in Xero — Prepare and submit VAT returns for Brazil and Mexico Requirements: — Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting — Minimum 3 years of experience as an Accountant or Financial Specialist — Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel — Solid understanding of accounting principles — Experience with Xero (preferred) — English B2 or higher Personal Attributes: — High attention to detail — Independence: ability to manage workload without micromanagement — Adaptability to new software and international compliance requirements What We Offer: — Competitive salary + bi-annual performance bonuses — Private medical insurance (PMI) — Wolt lunch allowance and snacks in the office — Greek language lessons — Online psychological sessions — Offices in Limassol and Nicosia, hybrid work model — International team and impactful projects — Regular team building events for employees and families
