QA / Quality Engineering Lead

🚀 QA / Quality Engineering Lead 💼 Industry: Fintech / Payments We’re looking for a hands-on QA / Quality Engineering Lead to build and lead the quality engineering function for a modern payments platform. This is not a traditional QA management role. We need a builder— someone who creates automation frameworks, test infrastructure and internal engineering tools that developers actually want to use. What you’ll do: 🔹 Build automation frameworks and test harnesses, primarily in Go 🔹 Develop test infrastructure for distributed payment systems 🔹 Build mocks, service virtualisation and test data management tools 🔹 Introduce AI-powered tools and agents for test generation, impact analysis, failure triage and root-cause investigation 🔹 Implement quality gates and automated quality signals in CI/CD 🔹 Define a risk-based quality strategy for APIs, payment flows, PSP integrations and customer journeys 🔹 Lead and develop the QA/QE team 🔹 Work closely with Engineering, Product, Platform, Security, Risk and Compliance What we’re looking for: ✅ Strong hands-on software engineering skills, ideally Go ✅ Experience building automation frameworks, test infrastructure or internal developer tools ✅ 7+ years in QA / Quality Engineering with leadership experience ✅ Strong payments domain knowledge: PSPs, acquiring, 3DS/SCA, callbacks, retries, refunds, reversals, settlement & reconciliation ✅ Strong API, integration and contract testing experience ✅ Experience with distributed and asynchronous systems ✅ SQL, logs, metrics and tracing for troubleshooting ✅ CI/CD and Git-based development workflows ✅ Experience using AI engineering tools with a disciplined approach to validation ✅ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills ⭐ Nice to have: Kubernetes, cloud, event-driven architecture, observability, PCI DSS, PSD2/SCA, performance and resilience testing. 🌟 What We Offer: • Work on modern FinTech and payment products • Supportive and collaborative team • Modern office in Limassol, Cyprus • Professional growth and leadership opportunities • Relocation support: flight tickets + accommodation for the first 2 weeks • Visa support
