Staff Security Engineer / Security Researcher

This is a solo engineer role. You will build a brand new product from scratch: a runtime protection layer inside Node.js processes to automatically detect and block attacks in real time. • Define technical strategy and design system architecture • Build detection logic for runtime security threats • Ship the first version to live environments • Optimize performance and accuracy using production telemetry • Deep background in Security Engineering or Security Research (Priority #1) • Proven history of shipping products or tools from scratch with full ownership • Strong knowledge of Node.js security, runtime protection, instrumentation, malware analysis, or WAF • Independence in making architectural choices and solving complex problems • Intermediate English or better • Linux production experience • Managed hosting or VPS domain knowledge • Active use of AI tools for development
