Backend Tech Lead

Tangem is a blockchain-sector technology company developing hardware cold wallets and mobile applications for secure digital-asset management. What you will do - Lead the technical development of Tangem Express, a crypto exchange aggregator integrated into Tangem Wallet. - Own backend architecture, code quality, technical decisions, and scalability improvements. - Design and maintain integrations with 12+ external crypto exchange providers. - Improve platform availability, reliability, performance, and fault tolerance. - Investigate production incidents, including provider failures, and resolve complex technical issues. - Guide a team of four backend engineers through planning, prioritization, code reviews, and engineering standards. Requirements - Strong commercial backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript. - Previous experience as a Tech Lead or Senior/Staff Backend Engineer with ownership of complex systems. - Deep knowledge of software architecture, design principles, microservices, and clean architecture. - Experience with crypto systems or transaction-processing platforms, including crypto swaps, exchanges, or crypto service providers. - Experience integrating third-party APIs with failure handling, timeouts, retries, and error recovery. - Strong PostgreSQL and SQL skills, high-load system experience, application security knowledge, production troubleshooting, and unit and E2E testing experience. Nice to have - Experience with cryptocurrency exchanges, swap aggregators, or crypto wallets. - Understanding of crypto swaps, exchange routing, and liquidity providers. - Experience integrating centralized or decentralized exchange APIs (CEX/DEX).
